About Casey
Casey is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate who strives to help every human know their worth and thrive. Life can be beautiful, and life can be brutal. Life happens, and we have to adjust… constantly. Whether it is developmental – we’re entering a new phase of life, or incidental – something happened to us. It is so easy to get overwhelmed. If you find yourself struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, feeling overwhelmed, or simply longing to return to a time in your life when you were happy, then Casey is the clinician that can support you on your journey.
Casey works with clients of all ages – from our littlest preschoolers struggling to make sense of their world, to teens trying to find their place in this world, to young adults, working professionals, and aging adults alike. Casey seeks to help clients explore their own identity, needs, and hopes, trusting that people are the most content when they are most authentically themselves. She works to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for each person to be honest and open about their feelings, their stressors, and their struggles in order to work towards the change they desire.
When working with adults and teens, Casey is a humanistic, Adlerian counselor who believes that counseling is a partnership and healing comes when trust is built. Casey believes that each person’s past impacts who they are, but it does not dictate who they will become. She is here to help you be intentional about creating the future you want.
When working with children, Casey utilizes Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). Similarly, she believes that children are resilient and capable of working through the stressors in their lives. Therefore, her role as counselor is to provide unconditional positive regard and create a safe space to facilitate the change process. Casey seeks to help children explore their own selves and make sense of their own world while also working with parents to support their children and grow in their relationship with their kids.
Whatever challenges you might be facing at this time, Casey is here to help. She knows that life is complex and complicated, and she will do her best to provide support that meets each person’s specific needs.
